Intermediate Band

WHAT IS INTERMEDIATE BAND?

Provides opportunities for intermediate-level performers to increase performance skills and precision on a wind or percussion instrument. Includes performance and production, analysis and theoretical studies, historical and cultural contributions and influences, creative aspects of music and appreciation of music. Stresses individual progress and learning and group experiences; strengthens reading skills.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The Intermediate band class is a year long class that is audition based. The class meets during the school day and is a part of the Fine Arts Pathway. All students who participate will have multiple performance opportunities throughout the school year including but not limited to Large Group Performance Evaluation, fall band concert, spring band concert, South Cobb Homecoming Concert and the South Cobb Night of The Arts Performance.
